On 5 October, we officially operationalised our piggery, marking an important milestone for our agribusiness. We began with a foundation stock of 2 pregnant sows, 3 gilts, and 1 boar, all of the Large White breed.
This is a small but steady beginning. The Large White breed is known for strong productivity, with an average litter size of 14–16 piglets per birth. Conservatively, we project an average of 10 piglets per sow, which would give us approximately 50 piglets within six months, and scaling up to around 100 piglets per year as operations stabilise.
We are excited about this growth phase and remain committed to responsible animal husbandry, gradual scaling, and building a sustainable pig production system.
