This upcoming virtual internship is set for February and will engage a different group of students focused on sustainable impact and circular farming systems. As we work to scale our integrated zero-waste model, we face key challenges in expanding waste-to-resource technologies, improving feed affordability, strengthening climate resilience, and maintaining consistent, market-ready bio-fertiliser production.
The Student Consulting Team will support us through applied research into best practices for integrated circular farming, climate-smart agriculture, and rural-appropriate technologies. This includes exploring sustainable feed ingredients and formulations, resilient fish and livestock systems, regenerative soil practices, and low-energy solutions such as biogas, solar drying, and small-scale processing technologies.
Students will analyse industry trends, customer needs, and emerging innovations, and compare how comparable organisations are responding to sustainability challenges. The research will identify practical growth opportunities that enhance our economic viability, environmental performance, and social impact, while remaining affordable, evidence-based, and grounded in local community realities.
The outcomes will help us scale responsibly, strengthen profitability, and deepen our training and inclusion programmes for farmers, women, and vulnerable youth.
