This upcoming virtual internship is set for February, when we will host a Student Consulting Team from SOAS University of London to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be applied across our integrated rural production system to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and social impact.
The internship will focus on identifying affordable, scalable AI solutions suited to low-resource rural contexts. Students will research AI trends, platforms, and emerging case studies in the agri-food and circular economy sectors, and map opportunities across our value chain from waste-to-resource conversion and feed formulation to pig, fish, and crop production.
A strong emphasis will be placed on climate-smart, resilient farming, predictive analytics, resource management, and cost reduction, while ensuring AI tools fit existing workflows, support environmental goals, and build community trust. The outcomes will inform our long-term AI strategy and provide practical recommendations to improve productivity, sustainability, and community-led economic development.
