In collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture as well as the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, we plan to open our business facility as a Farmers’ Centre of Excellence serving as the technical backbone of our community empowerment and value-chain development strategy. The Centre is designed to address critical gaps in skills, productivity, and quality control among small-scale farmers by delivering structured, practical training in modern, zero-waste, and climate-smart agricultural practices.
The Center will provide annual training to 100 small-scale farmers and 15 student interns, using a hands-on, demonstration-based approach that integrates livestock management, sustainable feed production, biosecurity, waste reutilization, and farm enterprise development. Training modules are tailored to local conditions and prioritize cost-effective, scalable solutions that can be readily adopted by resource-constrained households.
In addition to capacity building, the Farmers’ Center of Excellence will functions as a quality assurance and innovation hub for KAbV’s supply chain. By standardizing production practices and strengthening technical oversight, the Center ensures consistent product quality, improved traceability, and long-term supply reliability. At the community level, it contributes to human capital development by creating a pipeline of skilled farmers and agri-professionals, supporting income growth, resilience, and sustainable rural livelihoods.
PROJECT: FARMER’S CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
In collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and other relevant organisations, we are developing the farm into a Farmers’ Centre of Excellence to serve as a practical demonstration and training hub for climate-smart and regenerative agriculture. Through structured, hands-on farmer field demonstrations and training programmes, the centre will support knowledge transfer and skills development in collaboration with government ministries, extension services, and research institutions. By leading through demonstration, the centre will provide a replicable proof of concept, empowering other farmers to transition from subsistence to commercial, sustainable farming systems.
